Julius Nyerere Commemoration Day

This is the event when we get East African and South African speakers to talk and debate about the contributions and acheivements of Julius Nyerere.

The event is held at around the same time as the actual Commemoration Day in Tanzania on UCT campus.

The main point of the event is to tell students about the ideas Julius Nyerere had by having a lecture and encourage debate.

During the event stundents and lecturers and guest speakers alike engage in a discussion about how we as the youth can improve our societies and communitites and be somewhat like our dearly respected Julius Nyerere.
